Imprimerie Ideale has selected Edale to help boost its positioning in the carton packaging market. With 14,000 square meters of production space, Imprimerie Ideale is set to become one of the largest suppliers of packaging solutions for Morocco and Africa.
The converter has purchased an 8-color (full UV) Edale FL5 Carton with an FDC-510 flat-bed diecutter, primarily for the production of folding cartons, in order to enhance capabilities of printing with the food, beverage and cosmetic industries.
After being impressed with Edale's quality and automation, Ideale decided that the Edale press was the best solution for its business. "Edale has a unique technological advantage with the FL5 press," says Reda Moukite of Redagraph. "The capability of printing carton and flexible packaging, on the same press with high results, is a huge benefit."
According to Imprimerie Ideale, Morocco has a demanding market for food packaging, and the new Edale press will allow it to better supply the region. Ideale also opted for a film pack, which enables it to print film substrates alongside the carton board. The FL5 press comes fully equipped with the Edale AiiR (Autonomous inking, impression and register) Advanced Register Pack. Benefits include consistent quality and control through the print run, job data storage and recall from camera system, as well as automatic register setup and continuous register monitoring.
The FDC-510 flat-bed diecutter is designed to combine the best of sheetfed and flat-bed diecutting technology with a servo-driven constant tension web transport system. Benefits include a short setup time and an approximate 90% reduction in solid rotary tooling.
